Third week skiing with Clubmed this year, and by far the best one. First time in Val Tho, and everything—from the atmosphere to the skiing logistics—just worked. If you’re looking for a well-run, genuinely friendly ski club with great access to the slopes, this is it.
Atmosphere & leadership
Chef de Village Soufiane sets the tone from the start. The GO team are present, friendly, smiling, and consistently helpful. It creates a genuinely welcoming atmosphere where you feel the team truly cares about your experience and comfort.
Rooms & housekeeping
Alexia, head of rooms division, has a brilliant touch—leaving her card in the room and even noting her day off. It makes communication easy and direct (although everything was so well managed I didn’t need to use it).
Rooms were spotless, always done before returning from skiing, coffee replenished daily, and towels hanging on the rack actually not replaced. Small details, perfectly executed (you can read through the usual pain points there :))
Referant & Reception
Thalia was fantastic throughout the stay. Extremely responsive, proactive, and clearly understands the rhythm of a ski holiday—which makes a big difference. Always welcoming with a genuine smile, remembering guests and following up on requests quickly. She truly elevates the experience.
Ski room
The ski room team are efficient, attentive, and bring great energy. Special thanks to Myelene—always smiling, always helpful, no matter how busy it got.
Restaurant & food
Great experience overall. Audrey, the restaurant Manger, really stands out. Present everywhere at once—welcoming guests, managing the floor, helping people find tables—all with energy and a smile.
Food quality is excellent: varied options ( starters, meat, fish), themed evenings, and strong local products (cheese, bread, ++). The pizza—run by an Italian chef—is a highlight.
Compared to larger resorts, there may be slightly less choice, but the quality is consistently high, and the team is attentive and engaged.
Bar
Very well managed, even during busy periods. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient. Kenny brings great energy and positivity, which adds to the overall atmosphere.
Skiing & ESF
The ski domain is vast with excellent access right from the club. True ski-in/ski-out—no walking or pushing with your sticks needed.
ESF was impressive: group sorting on the first day was extremely fast and efficient, even in poor weather conditions. Group sizes are well managed throughout the week, and levels are respected. this was not the experience during the two other weeks in different domains. Val Tho, you set the standard there!
If possible, ask your ESF instructor to leave 5 minutes earlier than your group time —you can save up to 15 minutes at lifts, as 3B and 3A leave at the same time, just when the lifts open.
What really makes this place stand out is the team. The consistency of friendliness, attention, and professionalism across all departments made a real difference. Thank you to everyone for an excellent week—we'll be back end of December, in larger numbers :)
