Had a fabulous massage with Anya! It was so good I had to go a second time! The room was beautiful and the zeb area with the chance lounge and some hot tea and water and it was very relaxing ! Summer who worked in the spa boutique was very helpful making the appointment and explaining the different massages!
This was our fifth visit at Columbus Isle, and we'll be back next year. This is our favorite Club Med resort - the resort is beautiful, the snorkeling is excellent, the staff is always friendly and helpful, we love the mix of people (French, Canadian, American, German, etc), and of course the food.
When we got there I booked two massages, and I HIGHLY recommend Anya. She was phenomenal. She's experienced, has great hands (I had deep tissue massages), and got me into vacation mode the first day. All I could do after the massage was sit in hot tub and drink tea. I suggest as soon as you arrive, head for the Spa and make reservations for massages. Anya will take good care of you.
4th time on Columbus - greatest time. Endless beach is most virgin beach on the world, club stuff was excellent, sailing team did great effort to enjoy everyone ! Special thanks to Behruz and Dyeson with knowledge and experience. Room 535 where we stay had some issues but was fixed immediately. Lee and Maria are best "asset" for club because they were everywhere to make happy all world ! White party is always great party. Sunset attracting so much as great food at main restaurant.
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent Club Med trip and next time we plan to stay for two weeks. We were comparing with Club Med Turkoise and it was hard to decide which one we liked best, but I think Columbus Isle won us over. The rooms were bigger and nicer (nothing fancy, but perfect for a beach trip), all the rooms seemed to face the ocean, the sea was just as turquoise (absolutely crystal clear), the food was excellent (people were photographing the dishes), the GOs seemed a lot friendlier and more helpful. We missed the beach cabanas at the Turks, but the umbrellas were fine. The beach isn’t as wide as the Turks, but that means you don’t have to walk so far to the ocean! The chairs are on a bit of a slope, so my husband felt he was sliding forward, but he said the actual chairs were better than the Turks. It’s a long walk from one side of the resort to the other, but that didn’t bother us. Some of the GOs who really stood out were Shirley, Sujit, Joan at reception, Leroy and Pablo, but they were all good. The Air Bahamas plane from Miami was bigger than I expected. A large plane arrives from Canada on a Tuesday and one from Paris on a Thursday. All the planes have to be full for the resort to be full. I quite liked the fact that there were people leaving on a few different days. About 90% of the guests seemed to be French speaking. They did a wonderful job of white night (all the tables were set up around the pool) and the food was incredible that night (beef Wellington, etc). There’s an outdoor grill (the Junkanoo Grill), which had fabulous choices every evening (roast leg of lamb, octopus, etc). The bars weren’t as well stocked as the Turks and the beach bar didn’t have the same fruit smoothie options. There seemed to be out of some of the cocktail ingredients. A snorkeling trip goes out every day, but we didn’t participate. The scuba seemed very popular. They had jet skis and water skiing (at a cost). The beach in front of the resort is a mile long, with half a mile of that being directly in front of the hotel, so there was plenty of room for people to spread out. We will be back!
