Of course—here's a more relaxed and straightforward version of your review:
We’re a family of four from Ontario and stayed at Club Med Charlevoix for four days to celebrate our son's birthday in June. It was our first visit, and overall we had a great time.
The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our kids (5 and 9) really enjoyed the Mini Club Med - big thanks to GOs Zach, Michael, and Arthur for making it fun for them. Bartender Hannah was also fantastic.
We really appreciated the dinner option where the kids could eat with the GOs, giving my husband and I a chance to enjoy a quieter meal. I also enjoyed the guided hikes - knowlegable guides and a nice way to explore the hills, the cold plunge, and the personal development classes.
Exceptional all inclusive in the beautiful Charlevoix Region. Rooms were large with lots of storage, bedding was comfortable. Food at the buffet was delicious! The spa was so relaxing. Just what I needed. Forrest walks were a great time to connect with nature. The gondola gave exceptional views of the region. Highly recommend!
I decided to visit this resort very last minute with my 12 year old. This property offers all inclusive dining, drinks, circus classes twice a day, gondola, skiing and instructors during the winter. Biking, Hamam and fabulous family friendly entertainment. It offers a tremendous value. I was particularly interested in understanding how or works during ski season.
I was very impressed with the staff. They can easily accommodate any dietary restrictions, including celiac. The food was outstanding! They advertise themselves as a five star resort. I would say that they are four star with five star service. The resort is very new. Everything is extremely clean, although not luxurious. Think Nordic clean lines.
We stayed in a family room which included a small bedroom for my husband and I and then a separate small bedroom for my 12-year-old. Seperate bathroom and toilet. She absolutely loved it. We all did! I would recommend this resort for most families unless you want something very luxurious.
Club Med also offers the opportunity for the staff to eat with the guests if you invite them to your table. We had the entire circus crew at our table for our last meal. It was a really unique experience for my child to meet professional professionals from all over the world. The circus staff went above and beyond every day. My kiddo was somewhat more advanced the the other kids and they personalized her lesson to her level. She was ecstatic. She went to circus class twice a day. It was a very big part of the experience. The staff is amazing: Yuri, Hikna, Maggie, Angelica, German, Eduardo and Harrison were fantastic.
The entertainment was awesome. This resort definitely exceeded our expectations. Looking forward to going back during the winter. To get to this resort, you need to fly to Quebec and then either rent a car or have a private transfer. I recommend to rent a car. We stayed the night at the Fairmont in Quebec before arriving in Charlevoix.
We returned to Club Med Charlevoix last week after a disappointing experience in 2021 the 2nd week it opened and what a difference from then to now. There is a wonderful party/fun vibe going on that I can only attribute to Harrison CDV. He took part in the evening shows, lead crazy signs every night and was always visible and approachable. A definite asset to this village. The 2nd shout out is to Alexy he made the trivia a fun and exciting game and kept the energy and enthusiasm flowing throughout. The front desk staff, (too many to mention) no matter who I interacted with were always helpful, patient and very pleasant to deal with no matter how frustrating my questions were. The whole Elevation Festival is not to be missed!! Meditation, self improvement workshop and leisurely walks barefoot in the forest by Le Massiff staff are not to be missed. Have already book a 2nd vacation here.
We had a great time and it really felt like a vacation for everyone, even traveling with three kids, ages 8, 6, and 2. I would love to come back in the winter to ski too. The kid's clubs are great; Arthur and all kid's club team of G.O.s did a great job. I also enjoyed the fitness classes and our excursion to Quebec City. My husband also loved the local golf course. Price for quality for the whole experience was excellent. Worth noting, I would advise packing well since it is a remote area and there are not any close stores other than the boutique, so not the easiest if you forget anything.
Our Resort has teamed up with Solucycle, a local firm, to manage food waste, which is collected and converted into renewable energy, specifically bio-gas and compost.
